Conditions MeRT Can Treat
MeRT has been successfully used to treat a wide array of Neurological Conditions.
Your Brain is Unique
Your brain contains approximately 100 billion nerve cells (neurons). These nerve cells communicate via brainwaves on specific pathways in the brain.
And the more often a pathway is used, the stronger it gets. However, when forces disrupt brain activity, these pathways can become weaker, or completely unused. And these forces can be internal or external.
But what do we mean by internal and external forces and, therefore, conditions which MeRT can treat? Here are a few examples:
- Emotional trauma or high amounts of chronic or acute stress
- Trauma to the head such as a concussion
- PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder)
- Anxiety
- Depression or Major Depressive Disorder
- Illness or disease such as stroke or Parkinson’s Disease
- Dementia
- Developmental disorders such as Autism, ADD, and ADHD
- Sleeping disorders
With all these disorders, weakened pathways can cause an imbalance in the brain. As a result, this can create an imbalance in your thoughts, emotions, and activities. And while some people may still function in their day-to-day activities, others can have no quality of life.
But there is a solution: By restoring the unused, weakened pathways, MeRT can bring balance to the brain—and your life.

Conditions We Treat With MeRT
MeRT uses the principles of TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) but first does a detailed analysis of the patient’s brainwaves and then generates a custom magnetic wave that specifically targets and stimulates the brain where it is underperforming. It is FDA-Approved for some forms of Depression and here in Carlsbad, we have seen incredible successes using MeRT with Autism, TBI Concussion, and many other neurological conditions.

MeRT Conditions Treated: How It Works
As previously noted, MeRT can treat a wide variety of conditions. This is non-invasive, drug-free treatment combines:
1. Quantitative Electroencephalogram (qEEG),
2. Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG), and
3. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS, an FDA cleared therapy).
The EEG, or brain map, is key to the success of the MeRT treatment. Specifically, by mapping the brain, we can clearly see any imbalance in brainwave activity. Then, through a highly personalized treatment plan using TMS, we can strengthen the connections in the brain.
MeRT is highly individualized as to both frequency and location. As a result, this treatment can significantly reduce symptoms.*
